The game is played by two competing alliances of three robots on a 25’ x 54’ foot field.  The objective is to score as many balls in the goals in a two minute and thirty second match. For the first 10 seconds of the match, the robots work independently. Scoring in the first ten seconds gives you bonus points.  For the rest of the match, team members remotely control the robot from behind a protective wall.  after the ten second period, only one ball is in play on the field.  

 

With the single ball, players try to maximize their points by throwing the ball over the “truss”, catching any balls thrown over the truss, and scoring in the high and low goals on the ends of the field. Players earn bonus points for “assists”, which are earned for each robot that has possession of a ball in a zone as the ball moves down the field. Points are awarded for each action on the table below.
