Engineering Inspiration Award at Districts
The Engineering Inspiration Award celebrates outstanding success in advancing respect and appreciation for engineering within a team’s school or organization, and community. Inspiring others to respect science and technology requires passion, knowledge and commitment, and we recognize these qualities through this award.
One of the biggest ways to get someone involved in STEM is through showcasing STEM opportunities and developing your own, which this team does. Keeping their community up to date about opportunities to get involved in STEM, they share about various STEM events in the local area through their STEM Newsletter, and team website. With their team principle being “Engineering in a Nutshell”, they run a wide range of STEM-related events including a Scratch Hackathon and Robo Racer that gets elementary and middle schools students working hands-on to learn about engineering and robotics. No need to sound an alarm, Congratulations Team 2079!

Inspiring others to respect science and technology requires passion, knowledge and commitment, and we recognize these qualities through this award. 2079 has qualified to compete for the Engineering Inspiration Award at the District Championship by winning this award at WPI FRC event.
This is what the judges had to say about our team!- This team is committed to bringing the FIRST mission to their community regardless of age, skill, or interest. Their fire burns brightest when they are advocating, supporting, and advancing technology through their work with their younger peers. This team has a card catalog of skills that are sure to impress. When the Providence River is on fire, they sound the alarm! The Engineering Inspiration Award goes to Team 2079, 4H Alarm Robotics!

The Team Spirit Award celebrates extraordinary enthusiasm and spirit through exceptional partnership and teamwork furthering the objectives of FIRST.
This team showed up strong with an outstanding team spirit that wow-ed us all. Their strong community outreach clearly furthers the objectives of FIRST. This team has members from 11 different towns, but they have one unified vibe.

Team Spirit Award
The Team Spirit Award celebrates extraordinary enthusiasm and spirit through exceptional partnership and teamwork furthering the objectives of FIRST.
This team with its simplistically designed bot faced many challenges throughout its design build and competition season. As the alarm sounded for each problem the team rallied with spirit and enthusiasm to solve the issue and moving forward for a successful season. This team's spirit was also uplifted with support from their school community and alliance partners. Their spirit is evident and the reason for being awarded the Team Spirit Award.
